Labeling materials. Labelers also need to be compatible with the types of materials used for labels. Labels may be made from paper, mylar, film, or foil among other materials with which some labelers may be unable to work.
Application rate. The application rate is also necessary to consider, as this will dictate what type of speed settings needed. Labeling speed is measured in products per minute, which is important to determine when meeting production rate requirements. Labelers should also allow for speed changes based on production rate fluctuations.
Label location. Labelers should be able to apply labels to the appropriate location on a product, whether it’s the side, top, or bottom. Certain labelers may allow for adjustments if unique placement for labels are required.
Labeling machine supplier. Both the manufacturer and seller will also be a deciding factor when shopping for the right labeler. The last thing anyone needs is a piece of equipment purchased from a manufacturer with a bad reputation for poor quality of construction, or a seller of used labeling machines that doesn’t guarantee quality with every machine it puts on the market. To avoid these issues, do your research on the best manufacturers of labelers by taking a look at reviews from customers who have used them, and do the same when looking for a reseller of used machinery. If these companies seem unreliable, it’s best to look elsewhere for your labeling machines.
Maintaining Efficiency and Profitability
In order to keep liquid filling lines efficient, while also maintaining a consistent level of quality across all products and standardized labels, it’s ideal to install a system of one or more labelers in a facility.
With the right labeling equipment and materials, you can impress customers while also helping increase brand recognition once your products are in the store.
